No events are on the calendar right now. They start once the ground is open, and they get announced in the Discord first.
Confirming means turning up
Events have a minimum attendance, and one that does not reach it is cancelled automatically rather than leaving a host standing in an empty field. Confirming and then not appearing is what makes that happen to somebody else.
Use event resources for what they are meant for. Disrupting an event, exploiting event spawns, or griefing one is treated seriously, because it ruins something a lot of people turned up for rather than one person's evening.
