Backstory yes. Played-out romance no.

Your character can have a husband, a wife they buried, someone they're still looking for, a complicated history. That's characterisation and it makes people worth meeting.

What isn't allowed is playing romance out as an ongoing thread: dating RP, flirting scenes, anything sexual. Not in channels, not in DMs arranged through this server, not in-game. That's rule 2.4.

The reason is simple. We're 16+, which means adults and minors share these channels. There's no version of that which is fine, and no fade-to-black exception.

If two characters care about each other, play the loyalty. Play the worry when one of them doesn't come back. Play the person you'd cross a red zone for. That's stronger RP than a romance plot anyway.

Staff post events in #events with RSVP buttons. An event locks in at 3+ confirmed players - below that it auto-reschedules, so nobody's evening gets wasted. You'll get reminder pings at 1 hour and 15 minutes if you're confirmed. Grab the 📅 Event Alerts role in #roles.

Found one via #open-a-ticket → Faction App (max 7 members). Approved factions get a private hall thread, a recruitment post in #faction-hall, and a place in the season's story. Faction war lives in red zones - see #zones-and-map.

Open #open-a-ticket → Trader App. You'll pitch your shop (name, theme, location, stock, prices). Staff review pricing against the economy. Approved traders get the 🪙 role and a shop thread in #trader-shack.

Death matters here - play it honestly. Exact mechanics (skill retention, memory loss) are being tuned for B42 and will be documented here before launch.

Yes - ZedOnline is text AND voice. In-game proximity voice plus the Discord VCs. IC voice follows the same RP rules as text.

🟢 Green = RP protected. No KOS/RDM, robberies need roleplay and an out for compliant victims.

🔴 Red = lawless. KOS is legal, raiding allowed - entering IS consent.

The full map is in #zones-and-map. After red-zone kills, post a short after-action in #conflict-reports.

The short version: the map doubled (new towns, rebuilt classics, 475 basements, a new Prison), crafting/building got a full overhaul, animals + hunting exist now, lighting is new, and muscle strain changes combat pacing. All old saves are dead - everyone starts fresh, which is exactly why this is a new season. Lore: #season-lore.

Good RP earns reputation. When someone kudos you in #rep-and-kudos (or staff award for standout moments), you gain rep:

• Rep I (5) unlocks the standard name colors
• Rep II (15) unlocks premium colors
• Rep III (30) unlocks the exclusive ⭐ Irradiated color
• Rep IV (50) - Legend - custom personal color + the legends board

One application covers you AND your first character: a few OOC questions (age, RP experience) plus your character - name, age, occupation, a real backstory (150+ words), their plans, and your acknowledgement of the zone rules. Spawning: at launch you pick in-game between 3 fixed spawn towns... and rumor says one of them is lawless. Choose wisely.

## ❓ Boosting FAQ

Does boosting give me an advantage in-game?

No. Nothing you get touches your character, loot, claims, skills or progression. A booster and a first-day player are identical the moment they spawn. The only non-cosmetic perk is priority queue, and all it decides is how fast you get in when the server is full.

What is priority queue?

When the server hits its player cap, people waiting to join form a line. Boosters wait in a separate line that gets pulled from first. If the server isn't full it does nothing, because there's no line to skip.

So this is pay to win?

No. Winning here is your character, your faction and your story. You can't buy gear, rep, whitelist speed, claims or influence. You can buy colours and a shorter wait at the door.

Do I keep my colours if I stop boosting?

All of them except Platinum. 💎 Platinum is removed automatically when the boost ends. Anything you earned through rep is never touched.

Can I get Platinum another way?

No. It can't be earned, awarded, bought or grinded for. That's the point of it.

Do I get more if I boost twice?

No. Everything unlocks on your first boost. A second raises the server's perk level, which everyone benefits from, but nothing stacks for you.

How do I claim it?

#roles → 🎨 Name Color. It unlocks automatically, you just pick.

Can I still earn colours normally?

Yes, through kudos in #rep-and-kudos. Just no purposely boosting your friends. If a pattern shows up, staff will look into it and fake reps get removed.
